OnePlus One gets Own Android 5.0 Alpha ROM

OnePlus has just announced an Alpha version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM for its popular smartphone, the One. The mention of Alpha means that it’s still under development and not quite at a level where it can be used as a daily driver. But on the bright side, this also tells us that a working and stable version of the ROM is not far away.
As you very well know, the OnePlus One was banned from selling in India because of the Cyanogen ROM it uses. The only way the company can sell devices in the region again is by launching the device with its very own ROM and without the Cyanogen branding on the handset.

The company has posted a video demonstrating the functioning and features of this new ROM. It seems like OnePlus is going with a fairly stock version of Lollipop with barely any changes to the UI. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as stock Android is loved and acclaimed universally. But since OnePlus is developing the ROM from scratch, it will be remiss if there were no exclusive features on board.
The Cyanogen ROM had a myriad of such features, which helped accessibility to a great extent. So we hope OnePlus has something similar to offer its fans with the new ROM. You can download and install the ROM on your OnePlus One right away if you know your way around custom ROMs and TWRP recoveries. Needless to say, your device will need to be rooted to access these features.
OnePlus warns that your data might be lost after flashing the update, so proceed with caution. It’s always wise to make a backup of the essentials before flashing a custom ROM to avoid any accidents.

Apple MacBook Pro 2 Concept it Looks like the Lenovo Yoga

Apple MacBook Pro 2 Concept By Hass. T,that he calls the Apple Macbook Pro 2. This model seems to be a multi mode device, much like the Lenovo Yoga models. It uses a touchscreen Retina HD display and it’s a very lightweight laptop, made of aluminum.

It has a darker color finish and adopts an improved Facetime HD camera, with all the goodies of the iPhone 6. This model is also a tablet, since you can flip the screen or take it off and use it like an iPad. What you see right here is sort of a teaser for a complete device to come. You can see this model is tent mode and in laptop mode, but there’s no screen separation or iPad phase.

Xiaomi Mi5 latest leaks With fingerprint scanner

Xiaomi MI5 has a fingerprint reader, with the possibility that it can be implemented in the physical home button, the solution adopted also by Meizu MX4 Pro and iPhone.

Even the dual front room had talked about earlier, shortly after the presentation of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus, with dual rear chamber, a peculiarity that had assumed the adoption of the same solution, but in the front instead of the rear.
Unfortunately we can not tell you the diagonal of the display, as it is very difficult to understand if the image portraying the alleged Xiaomi MI5 is aspect ratio 1: 1 with the size of the device. Recall, in the meantime, rumors emerged that up to now will be of two possible cuts of the display, ie 5.5 and 5.7 inches.
Before closing, a brief reflection: there are rumors of a hypothetical one Xiaomi Xiaomi Mi4S and MI5. The leaks that follow are, that of yesterday morning and that reported in this article, would show two possible devices.

Nokia Lumia 730 vs Nokia Lumia 735 - Budget Window Phones compared

Both handsets, the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 735 are excellent handsets for their price, and they both come with a selfie friendly camera on the front. Choosing between the two is a hard task, but we hope to help you make that decision.
Design and Display
You will be hard pressed to distinguish the devices when they are put side by side. Their dimensions are almost identical, with the Lumia 730 measuring at 135 x 69 x 8.7, while the Lumia 735 measuring at 135 x 69 x 8.9. The slight difference in thickness makes the Lumia 730 slightly more compact in the hand. The thickness difference also results in weight difference. The Lumia 730 weighs 130 grams, and the Lumia 735 weighs 134 grams. The display is identical in size, 4.7 inches, and in resolution 720 x 1280 pixels. The difference is that the Lumia 730 uses the OLED display, while the Lumia 735 comes with AMOLED display. The AMOLED touchscreen display delivers a tad sharper display.
Hardware and Operating System
The similarities continue in the hardware department as well, where both devices sport a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, with maximum clocking speed set at 1.2 GHz and the Adreno 305 GPU. RAM is set at 1 GB, and internal memory is limited at 8 GB. Luckily, users can add an extra 128 GB, via a microSD card. Both devices run on the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.

Camera
The rear camera is a lowly 6.7-MP sensor, with Carl Zeiss optics and LED flash on both devices. The front camera is what makes the cheap handsets appealing. Their 5-MP front sensor can record 1080p videos at 30fps. And for selfie lovers, the wide angle lens allows for better group selfie photos.
Battery
The Lumia 730 and the Lumia 735 sport a 2200 mAh battery that can handle up to 22 hours of talk time and last 600 hours on standby mode.
Price
As we mentioned previously, both devices can be classified as budget handsets. The Lumia 730 is slightly cheaper, with a price tag of $250. The Lumia 730 is the one that supports dual SIM, while the Lumia 735 comes with a nano SIM and a price tag of $280.

Blackberry Passport vs Sony Xperia Z3 - Smartphones comparison

Sony is known for launching its smartphones twice a year.Blackberry, on the other hand, is still striving to regain its old popularity among the masses by introducing many appealing smartphones. The Blackberry Passport and the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphones are among the two newest smartphones by the manufacturers in September 2014. What makes a good observation point is that apart from sharing the same release date, both the smartphones also have more or less the same specifications. While the Xperia Z3 is a follow-up of the Xperia Z series, Blackberry lovers might find it interesting to note that the Blackberry Passport is so named because it has exactly identical dimensions as that of the United States passport. Both gadgets are loaded with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processor, 3GB of inbuilt RAM and 32GB of internal storage. They also support expansion of memory up to 128GB.

Body Material, Dimensions and Weight
The Sony Xperia Z3 has the same body material as its predecessors. Housed with a glass top and bottom, the smartphone has an aluminum band on its side. The aluminum band is intended to protect the device from damage when it is dropped on the side. The Blackberry Passport features a metal frame and excellent quality polycarbonate material on its rear. Also, while the Blackberry Passport depicts a physical three-row QWERTY keypad, the keypad is part of the screen in the Sony Xperia Z3. It is worth noting that the two smartphones find their place among the large sized smartphones and are not actually light weight. While the Blackberry smartphone is not as tall as the Sony smartphone, it is definitely wider and thicker. The Passport is also reasonably heavy with a weight of 190g when compared to the Xperia Z3 that weighs 152g. Additionally, Sony offers the added advantage of giving its smartphone an IP 68 certification for its users.
Verdict: The odd size of the Blackberry Passport smartphone coupled with its weight makes it fairly difficult to operate with one hand. Additionally, the fact that the Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone is dust and water resistant, gives it an upper hand. However, those who prefer using a physical keypad, instead of the touch keypad, the Blackberry Passport is a good option.
Screen Display
Both Sony Xperia Z3 and Blackberry Passport incorporate LCD displays. However, while the Sony smartphone portrays a Triluminos IPS LCD display, the Blackberry smartphone houses an ordinary IPS LCD display. The 5.2-inch size screen of the Xperia Z3 is definitely bigger than the 4.5-inch screen of the Passport. But, the Passport has a better pixel resolution of 1440 x 1440 and pixel density of 453ppi than the 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and 424ppi than the Xperia Z3. Additionally, the Blackberry Passport encompasses a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screens of the two smartphones also feature a proximity sensor and a light sensor.

Xiaomi Arch vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 - Comparison among the best upcoming smartphones

After there were rumors that the Korean company might release the Galaxy S6 with two curved, side displays, Xiaomi released a poster with the exact same concept.
The Concept versus Reality
Xiaomi showed a poster with a device showing two curved edges. At the moment, it is just a concept, and no further information is available. Size of the display, performances, specs, operating system, everything is up in the air. Samsung, on the other hand, already has the Galaxy Note Edge, a phablet smartphone with one curved display. Rumors surrounding the Galaxy S6 suggested that the Korean company might go with two side displays in the S6. At this moment, it seems like Samsung is prepared to do anything to wow its fans and customers.
So, at the moment, we have rumors for the S6, versus the concept of the Xiaomi Arch.

How Does the Arch look?
The poster of the Xiaomi Arch reveals some interesting design concepts. For example, both side displays will show controls and notifications. Even more interesting is that the company uses one of the side displays for live streaming important information. The information includes stock prices and live sport results.
According to the poster, the Xiaomi Arch is the first phone with curved screen on both sides.
The Budget Policy
As always, Xiaomi is banking on its low prices to capture the attention of the customers and appeals to them. The Galaxy Note Edge is a premium device, costing around $700. The Galaxy S6 is rumored to have a price tag of $750. Xiaomi’s devices, on the other hand, rarely cross the $400 border. For example, even the flagship Xiaomi Mi4 is priced at $300. If the company continues the policy with the Arch, it will be hard for Samsung to top them.

Xbox One vs Playstation 4 – Check the Winner of 2014?

The debate is a never ending stream of argument which can’t be concluded at this point, because it has been just over a year since both consoles got released.
However, gamers have plenty of news updates, hardware specifications, exclusive games and new additions to put into the argument to say one console one over the other. Let us share our own two cents to the debate and let us know if you agree with our verdict.
Playstation 4
Without a doubt, Sony took off to a great head start because they have learnt a lot of new things about console business and gamers from their Playstation 3 console. They didn’t over price it at $500 as before and didn’t introduce any silly restrictions. As a matter of fact, they had a lot of plans in mind but they waited for Microsoft to bite the dust and learn from their mistakes.
The strategy worked and Xbox One took all the beating. It was criticized to be anti-gamer which allowed Sony plenty of time to reverse their policies to sport as the good guy. Even now, they don’t have any good exclusives to boast of except for Infamous Second son and re-mastered version of The Last of Us. The console sold much higher but their success was more because of Microsoft’s mistakes than their strategy, besides much powerful hardware.
Xbox One
The beginning was one of the worst in history for Xbox One but Microsoft didn’t behave naïve. Instead, they accepted what went wrong and reversed all the policies. It paved way for them to join the good book which followed with exclusive launches like Titanfall and the newly out Halo Master Chief Collection besides Sunset Overdrive.
They removed Kinect, and brought huge discounts which made sure they sold really well towards the end of 2014. There are some timed exclusives coming to the console as well and it performs almost the same as a Playstation 4 in most AAA games including the newly launched Assassin’s Creed Unity as well as Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.

The verdict is Xbox One was slow to pick up while Playstation 4 was far ahead but towards the end of the year, due to various changes both consoles came on par with each other in terms of sales and performance. So, it’s a tie in 2014 but this year with its exclusives, we can confirm which one will lead the race.
